We did a thing, y’all.
Well, Calvin, the Product Manager for Curated, did a thing:
We now have a Public Product Roadmap!
We’ve put this out in plain sight for everyone to see what we’re planning, what’s in progress, and what’s been released.
What does this mean for you?
Better visibility into the many, many releases we intend to push live to support you in your pursuit of newsletter success.
So, what’s coming soon? Private newsletters, paid newsletters, and end-to-end sponsorship management. Plus, there are some fun smaller features sprinkled in, too.
Check it out and let us know what you think.
If you’ve got questions about anything on the roadmap, email Seth at support@curated.co.
A More Advanced Summary Report: You Can Now Filter By Date Ranges
I’m excited about this new improvement to the Curated Summary Report. You might recall that when we launched it last fall it included data from the current year. Now, users are able to filter by different date ranges, including All Time, Past Year, Past 6 Months, and Past 30 Days.
Why is this important?
Now you can get even more granular to see which content categories your readers enjoy the most, and to see if recent changes have impacted their behaviors. Plus, if you’ve been considering covering a topic more often (or even publishing a spin-off newsletter on that topic), you’re now able to get the granular view you need to validate that decision.
I filmed a quick video to show you how it works and recap what you get in this report:
New To Me: Highlighted Text Is Imported When You Collect Links
Hey, Curated user. You may already know this, but if you’re like me, you MAY NOT, and if you don’t, allow me to blow your mind:
When you are collecting a link using the Chrome extension or the Curated Bookmarklet, if you highlight copy before you collect it, that copy will automatically appear in the body text field.
Why is that fantastic? It means I can bring in the text I know I want to quote or use as a commentary prompt, especially when I collect a link but don’t have time to write the commentary right that moment (which is 100% of the time, for me).
I hope some of you find this helpful. We’re going to add it to the help content. You can also watch this video of me demonstrating this (sort of hidden) feature.
User Permissions Are Now Tied to Publications, Not Accounts
Curated users will be excited to know that we’ve just released some improvements that give you more control over what users within your account can access.
With these permissions, you’ll be able to invite users to individual publications. (Note: You’ll continue to be able to invite unlimited users to contribute.)
This is especially helpful for you agency owners who have publications for clients and want to keep the individual publications separate.
